Recovery Coach Support Services
MWV Supports Recovery Coalition offers Recovery Coach Support Services. Our program focuses on building support networks, developing coping skills, and providing a safe space for people in recovery. We are action-oriented with an emphasis on helping recoverees improve present life and reach future goals.
Recovery coaching is for people both in recovery from addiction themselves, or for family members, friends and loved ones of those who have been affected by another's addiction.
Recovery coaches are not therapists, counselors, clinicians, clergy or 12 step sponsors. They occupy a very unique and distinct lane on the recovery highway. Recovery coaches do not offer primary treatment for addiction, do not diagnose, and are not associated with any particular method or means of recovery.

Recovery coaching is a form of strength-based support for persons with addictions or in recovery from other mental and physical health issues. Recovery coaches assist clients in:
-
Stabilizing in recovery and maintaining the gains they achieved in treatment.
-
Solidifying and integrating new coping skills and lifetime behaviors.
-
Identifying and addressing triggers in their environment.
-
Learning to coach themselves, improve their performance, and setting and achieving goals to help them enhance their quality of life.

MWV Supports Recovery Coalition is dedicated to supporting the recovery community. Our recovery coaches provide a safe and supportive environment for people to connect with others who understand what they are going through. Our experienced staff and volunteers are committed to helping people build the skills and confidence they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives in recovery.
